I purchased an assembled engine and it has the throws machined to accept 400M rods. Can anyone tell me the advantage of using these rods and does it change the stroke?
Getting ready to build a fire in it this morning.
I do know I had a hell of a time getting a pan to fit that the rod bolts would not hit. It had a cast aluminum Cobra T pan(7qt) on it. The stock pan would not clear either. Went with a Moroso rear sump for a Fox body Mustang. Had to go with a high torque starter to get it to clear the new pan.

Am I having fun yet? YOU BETCHA it is only money...when I run out, I will just go get some more. Goverment prints more every day.
