Cold Starts
Still in the process this end of finding the perfect car and have a question regarding cold start of a few big block models I have looked at.
Have looked at three 427 type cars. Have noted that in all cases, when the cars were first started, i.e. they were still cold, keeping the engines running seemed to be a bit of a chore.
I have a 1976 TR-6 that seems to overcome this problem via use of a manual choke. Does anyone know if original Shelby's were equipped with any type of choke (manual or automatic)? I suspect that another route would be to equip the engine with fuel injection...
Interested in how others have gotten around this or do most see it as just part of the mystique?
As always, appreciate member inputs.
