You shouldn't have to do any welding on any of the packages I'm aware of unless you change something. Usually, everything in most of the kit packages are pretty intuitive if you have any mechanical background and are fairly easy to put together.
The Factory Five cars seem to have the best set up for the do-it-yourself guys with their new all inclusive complete kit all you supply is the engine, tranny, wheels, tires, and paint- and lots of sweat.
