I got the stuff from a store here that was a type of exhaust insulation and the finish was chrome. I just cut it to the size I needed and put snaps in on the passenger side and it folded up by the seat. It was thick enough that when the door was opened it would fall most of the way on its own. But you could put your hand on it and barely feel any warmth at all.
