I'll note that as a younger kid I was first attracted to these cars because I was heavily biased towards BB's.

I will throw another class of racing in to the mix. My friend races Pro-4 (Trophy Trucks) and ran a BB for years and was getting smoked by the big boys with the big dollars running SB's. He is now running a SB like the big money guys. Not only was his BB running slower lap times, but it was not reliable.
