The Shelby Car Association of Texas (SCAT) will host its annual "Texas Nationals" on October 5 - 7, 2001 in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, Metroplex. The event includes:
* Track time at the Motorsports Ranch (
http://www.motorsportranch.com/) outside the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, Metroplex on Friday and Saturday, October 5 and 6, 2001. You can drive quickly around the track or participate in the "touring category" to learn a bit about your car.
*A Saturday night banquet at the Hilton Hotel in Arlington, Texas; Carroll Shelby has been there most years but due to his health attendance is always questionable. Previous speakers have included drivers George Folmer and Bob Johnson.
* A car show at the Arlington Hilton on Sunday, October 7. Again, the show is for Ford powered vehicles and participants range from Model T's to Cougars, Tigers, Panteras, Cobras and Ford pickups.
