CSX3112 in 1979
CSX3112 looksa lot different from the last time I saw it. In 1979 it was red with black int. If I recall a gentleman by the of Pete McManus owned the car an he lived near Phila. A really nice guy as he gave me my first ride in a 427 Cobra. He also had a 1966 GT-350 parked next to it at a gas station, I believe it was ser #SFM6S710. I was out cruising in my 1st Shelby GT-350, SFM6S2295 and stopped to get some gas when I saw the back end of the GT-350. I jumped out of my car to check out the Shelby Mustang and nearly had a heart attack when I saw the blood red 427 Cobra parked in front of the Shelby. The Cobra was in mint condition and he didn't flinch when I asked for a ride. I took about fifteen pictures which I still have. Back in those prehistoric times if you saw a Cobra it was usually real.
Sure looks a lot different in silver. It had a single four bbl back then. It had the sunburst wheels also. It ran better than it looked. The photos are 35mm. I will have to get them didgitalized so I can post them. Bob
