Go to the DMV web site an it will give you a heads up look as to what you need to do and how you want the title worded . You will need to have it inspected and there is a phone number to a member of a Hot Rod club that volunteer to do this . Yes the state has a car club do this , he will give you a form to take with you to the DMV.
Bring your Certificate Of Origin that came with the paper work from the kit manufacture completed. It would be a good idea to bring along all the receipts you have for the main components as wells as the kit .
A lot of title services will no longer handle Kit Car title work anymore, it is best to go to the DMV directly. If they , the title services , get it wrong on the first pass it is a red flag to the DMV and it turn into a real problem .
But if you work with the DMV and you need something and return to them with it you won;t have a problem . Oh and bring your wallet to pay the fees and taxes.
