1 year to understand emissions issues, find/buy a donor car and strip donor car.

2 years to build (months just slip away when you're reliant on others for the bits you cant build yourself)

9 months and still waiting for engineering, blue slip and RTA VIN number...

For me however the rest of my life takes prioirty, I only work on it when I'm bored (which is often).

It also depends on the type of kit, the Homebush kit which I have is very much a hands on affair.

Like most others my "build" will continue long after it's on the road, starting with paintwork.
