Mando, I built skates to slide the car sideways when I wanted to work on it.
I saw them in a hotrod mag and wrote a letter top the bloke(no computer then) and asked what size wheels to go over expansion joints in concrete and he said three inches so I folded up some 1/8" or 3mm plate and welded them up. A powder coat and some pretty stainless bolts and there you have it.
Now you can buy quick jacks that don't need the car to be jacked up to fit them. Smithy
