I have a 427FE in my Cobra running 10:1 compression. I've always said that the next time I rebuild, I'm going 11 or 12:1. You can't substitute the power and sound of high compression. If it's not an everyday car, then you can afford the high octane gas. I'd also run a big Demon carb.
