If you felt "slammed" by me, it was never intended, and feel I would then owe you an apology. What you must realize is that there were those of us who bought from Rutherford and were "slammed" with his business modus operandi. Even before Don bought CR he stepped up and made up (not bound too) for many many shortcomings.

That doesn't speak for the present or the recent history. But, for me, it seemed uncharacteristic of Don considering his actions BEFORE he even bought the company and his actions after buying CR whereby he nearly made good on all of Rutherford's debts to me. Then again, I feared something was awry when he kept Pete on staff. If it weren't for a soft top, which Pete insisted I was "about" to receive, I could not have completed the car without Don's help/guidance. (Rutherford never shipped crucial parts for completion).

This has been an infamous adventure. Between Rutherford, that guy who sold me the kit, that CR representative in Modesto, Don, Pete, and (what was the name of that guy DV?) oh yes, JAY... it is a shame how this has played out, repeatedly.

I am not excusing Don or the treatment you have felt. I blindly hold on to the best in people, and wait until they screw me, few disappoint. Maybe it is a Classic Roadster curse. I do feel sorry for Don, when he bought CR he really put forth a genuine excitement and desire for making things right and producing a kit which transcends all. Life happens and dreams get broken, it can suck all around. Despite Rutherford's perceived enjoyment in screwing people, (by my own pure disbelief), I wonder how painful this must be for Don, as these posts do not describe the Don I once knew.
