Warren,

That is a nice picture and I hope they do preserve that old mill. So many things have been destroyed that the younger generation doesn't even have an idea of what it was like back in the early days. We have a few places around here that have preserved some of the old gold rush equipment and stuff and it is interesting to listen to the remarks from tourists. I heard one woman make a remark that she never realized gold came out of mountains. Unfortunately, at least from my viewpoint, they have had to seal most of the old mines that we used to go through when I was younger. But with the sue happy society we now have, I can understand it as some of them are very dangerous, especially if you have never been deep underground in damp tunnels held up with rotting timbers.
