Which is primarily WHY I sold the Excalibur, simply put, just to far from the 'recipe' for me to continue to enjoy the car.
But theres an a$S for every seat, even for THIS car! The current Excalibur owner loves the car I sold him as much as I did at one point. It now has substantially more chrome, some neon lights, a killer radio and other 'improvements'. I did tell him if he EVER put a wing on the back I WOULD have to 'draw the line' and he couldn't park next to ME at the next cruise in (just kidding him of course, he's a good friend).
Kidding him, but he also understands where I'm coming from, he KNOWS why I sold the Excal.
I am very happy with my ERA but perhaps I would be even more happy with any number of 'old school' replicas 'done right' to more original specs? This was a common theme not that many years ago and is becoming harder to find these days. Hi Tech, Contemporary, Kirkham, the continuation Shelby series are a few that come to mind, there are others. There are many modern replicas, not not just this one, I personally would NOT consider owning. There are to far removed from the 'recipe', there link to history is in question. There nice modern 'hot rods' and like I said before there's an a$$ for every seat. If your happy with it, well OK then.
