My Backdraft is only 3 inches off the ground, and the Split Bed was the only way to get it on there without scratching. The Tow Company sent several tow trucks and finally they agree that a Split Bed was the only way to get it up there without scratching.
That was my first experience with Spilt Bed. Never saw it before, but it make sense.
It is all relative to how much you want to preserve your car. Some folks leave their cars out to the elements, obviously they don't care and other has theirs in a garage and kept in pristine conditions all the time. Last Friday I was at a Golf Course and there was a Thunderstorm and there was a Cobra in the parking lot soak completely. When I got closer and look inside it was full of trash and beer cans, obviously that person don't care for there car.
It is all relative to how much you value your toy...
