I must admit that Vern is a little eccentric and you don't want to p#$$ him off or you won't get good response or service (much like anyone) you must be very patient or don't deal with him.
Now there's a ringing endorsement! 
I guess in this case getting a POS body is enough 'piss Vern off'....
