Default Color Tour Info Hotels & etc.

Hi everyone,
Here is the latest update on the Fall Color Tour for Sept 19th - 21st.

The hotel is going to be the Quality Inn, 1492 US 31 North, Traverse City, MI 49686.
The Phone number is (231)929-4423. They have a block of 25 rooms reserved for us right now and if we need more that can be arranged. They are all supposed to be grouped together to make it easier to watch the cars and stay together overall.
The rooms are $89 + Tax per night. You must call and make the RESV. yourself and must tell them that you are with the Factory Five Owners Group to get the rates. You can talk to whoever answers the phone to make the reservations.
All reservations need to be made by Friday August 15th., they may work with us on that but for now that is the cutoff date.

The Michigan group will be starting Friday from Fenton on US 23 and Owen Rd. at the KFC (3180 Owen Rd. Fenton, MI 48430) and going up to TC along the same route as last year, 10AM. This should allow us to hook up with the Windy city Cobra Club along the route just after we get back on the road after lunch. The lunch stop is scheduled at Houghton Lake for gas and a Lunch at the same spot again also. The meeting stop for the WCCC should be just around 3pm and we will go into town again as a group from there.

Then at 6pm we will have dinner as a group at a local restaurant in town called Freshwater Lodge @ 13890 S West-Bay Shore Dr. Traverse City, MI 49684.
The Freshwater is asking, if they, because of the size of the group, could limit the menu slightly. If this is a problem then please let me know as soon as possible. Such as vegetarian or medical reasons, etc.

Saturday is going to be the cruise and will start approx. 10am, we will not be able to start much later than that because we will have some other stops along the way and we will need to be back for the planned BBQ in the evening.

This BBQ will be at one of the TC local's ( Tom Gray's ) shop located just outside of town on 72. This BBQ is being sponsored by himself and another local ( Wayne Olsen) and will be free to everyone that shows up. They are asking that we do not collect any money for them this time out, but that will be up to the rest of you, I promised them I would not ask personally.

Sunday we will run into a winery on the peninsula after breakfast for those that would like to join us, and then head home after that.

Maps will be provided for everything once you hook up with me Friday morning or evening on the way to the restaurant. I may just leave a number of them at the hotel front desk for everyone to grab there also.

WCCC guys, if you guys would like to come in Thursday and leave from Fenton with us let me know, there are a couple of hotels about a 1/2 mile from the starting point and we will make arrangements to wait for you to start. I can get you the name and numbers of those hotels if that is the case. Just let me know.

This is also by no means limited to just the Cobras although we would like to have as many as possible, it is by no means limited to just us. If you have someone that would like to join us they are more than welcome. But the bank of rooms are being held first for the cobras then for the others. The hotel told me that they would have more than enough rooms for us.

Please, as you make your reservations email me or PM me from one of the Forums and let me know, so that I can keep up a count and manage things for the resteraunts, stops and BBQ.
