Brake pad dust stuck to wheels is a bummer if you leave it on for a long time. About 10 years ago, a friend gave me some "special" wheel cleaner in an unmarked gallon water jug. He said, spray it on, wait 1 minute and wash it off with a hose. No rubbing necessary. I still have about a 1/4 gallon left.

Fantastic stuff. Its amazing how clean the wheels are after using it. I use it about 2 or 3 times a year on my daily driver. Never on the Cobra because the last thing my friend said when he gave me the stuff, was to "make sure you use rubber gloves ... the stuff will burn your skin if you get it on you."

I guess the stuff is not environmentally friendly! Its probably some weak acid solution. If I got caught with the stuff in Kalifornicatia, I'd probably get the chair!
