The thin steering wheel of old looks a lot like the 16" in the OEM Cobra applications.

It's huge undertaking for the engineers to take a fresh idea, test the market, turn it into a concept car, sell the idea to the powers that control the corporate purse strings and then actually bring it to market. Keep in mind the safety mandates, emissions, perceived market and unknown stumbling blocks such as the current fuel situation. It will increase showroom traffic and bring exposure to more of the Chevrolet lineup. Customers have been asking about it for almost a year. The horsepower race of the 21st century is in full swing. Those that missed the 60's missed a Hell of a time...........
