Hey all you SB gurus,
I am going over to help identify a 289 or maybe a 302 for a friend. The wife has no clue what her late husband has tucked under a tarp. It could be a circa 70's up to maybe late 80's engine I would guess, has finned Cobra V covers for what the little that means.

I need a push in the right direction, where are the numbers and date codes on the block and a head. This engine is assembled but I can pull the valve covers or what ever is needed. THANKS for your help. Jeff C
