The plastic is a good idea, I do intend to paint the floor.
I am also going with wood 'cuz all my realestate appraiser friends say a steel structure will turn off some prospective buyers if I ever want to sell.
Fire is a genuine concern but It will be a detached garage so danger is minimised. I still need recomendations for a concrete guy and a framer.
