This is what the shop doing the work told me they are going to do:
Prep the wheels for paint and then paint the whole wheels white. After painting, the wheels will be put on a lathe to remove the paint from the wheel lips and top edges around the spokes. The machining will also remove some scratches from one of my wheels. After painting and machining, the wheels will be shot with clear.
The shop doing the work told me that they can't powder coat the wheels because machining would chip the coating.
Now, what color? Bright white or a "creamier" not-so-bright white?
