Do NOT, repeat ... do NOT floor it in any gear except 4th gear on the first couple of rides. After a couple of rides, only go to about 1/2 throttle in second gear for a short burst in a desolate area (something like a big empty parking lot).

Make sure you are comfortable with the massive amount of power in a lightweight car before you floor it in first gear. Why? Cobra have a tendency to swap ends and go directly off the road and into the weeds with inexperienced drivers behind the wheel.

Take it slow and easy on the loud pedal.

Also, be defensive. Watch out for the idiots on the road that want to look at your car for 15 seconds while they are next to you at 60 MPH and talking on a cell phone.
