Somebody on another thread had used that definition of a hybrid, so I stole it.
I used it about a week ago when idling next to a nice looking girl in a Prius. I said to her that "I have a hybrid, too ... it burns gas and rubber."
They started to dismantle the huge crane in the old Fore River Shipyard in Quincy. They sold the crane for $9M with a $1M cost to break it down and put it on barges to be shipped to a European shipyard. They have all kinds of cranes to hold it up, and started to take it down by removing the massive legs, one at a time. Once they get all 4 legs removed, then they will lower the superstructure to the ground. A couple of days ago, while they were removing the second of the 300 ft tall legs, it fell down, killing one of the workers. This is a pic from last year.
... and here is a photo taken yesterday. Look close and you can see the other cranes and missing leg.
