Thanks guys for all the input. Have Weber carbs so I was able to remove the carbs on that side and check the intake runners directly right to the valve backs. Ran oil pressure up and found no leaks into the intakes. The valve areas and valve stems and backs are clean of new oil. Visibly checked with a boroscope. Next step is to take off exhaust headers, look in to determine the cylinder of merit and then remove the intake. I'll carefully check intake gasket. If not there, then remove the head to check head gasket and better inspect the head. At this time I cna also check piston.

Got to love this big block. 2nd mysterious oil problem. Oh well - it is still a fun hobby.
