Nice guy. I met him in Monterey once, very pleasant and engaging and extremely articulate. He was from an era of gentlemen racers that is gone now - sacrificed to the God of Commercialism. I don't think he ever raced a car with a sponsor logo , although perhaps toward the end of his career. Imagine a guy being World Champion in F1 for the first time at 34! The cars were a lot more gentle back then - and deadly.
He looked a lot taller in the magazines...
