One possibility...

Cobras On Highway1 (CH1) is on the same weekend on the Monterey Penninsula in Aptos, CA, so perhaps there is some perceived overlap there or maybe not.

Note: CH1 is September 25,26,27 in Aptos, Monterey Pennisula. Folks from NorCal, Central Valley, a few Bay Area, SoCal attending this too on the same weekend. The goal is to get away from the heat and into some nice cool ocean air!
