Absolutely. Hanna just a tropical storm now, but it has dumped a lot of rain over the last 8 hours or so. Wind gusts to 50 MPH, a few tree limbs down, some people losing power, and a lot of localized street flooding. Just north of me, a town got 3 inches of rain in one hour. Total will be about 7 inches, but only about 3 inches locally when the rain stops about 5 AM Sunday.
There was a lot of flooding in NC and NY due to the storm.
I've had the AC on all day ... temp only got to about 75°F but 100% humidity. UGH. Walking around outside is like wearing a wet dishrag. Supposed to be sunny and 80°F tomorrow because the storm is racing north at a much faster speed than expected.
Just watched the 11 PM weather, and it looks like Hurricane Ike which is a Cat 4 storm now, could be headed to your way in about 4 or 5 days.
