I've seen warnings from Scat and one other crankshaft mfgr. not to use the fluid filled dampers as they cause the snout to crack and sheer off. The FE as well as other engines with fuel pump eccentrics on the timing gear have very long snouts unlike the Chevy engines so it's vulnerable to stress cracks. The fluid dampers get out of balance and actually amplify the vibrations instead of absorbing them.

If your planning on tracking the car this item must be SFI certified.
