As far as the hood to pan thing. You can seal it if you want but in actuality, the pan is more for looks than for function. The holes that are in it for the linkage will certainly pull hot air from under the hood and the idea that air is drawn in through that small opening is false. We al know that a forward opening hood scoop doesn't work. The air actually misses the scoop. It would have worked better if it opened from the back but then it wouldn't look like a Cobra. Try your car at idle with the hood up and then close the hood. You will watch your tach vary and idle go down until it compensated the air to come through the scoop. It's a struggle.
All in all, it looks great though.
