Default Leak at front of tranny

I'm installing my 351w and Tremec TKO. I'm putting them in as one unit so I had to get them hanging at quite an angle to get under the firewall. I'm guessing at least 30 degrees, maybe more. After several minutes of hanging at this angle, I noticed what looked like tranny fluid leaking from where the bellhousing bolts to the engine block. It was running down the outside of the thin plate that is sandwiched between the block and bellhousing, right below the crank seal. It's not motor oil... it's red. I have no idea where it could be leaking from because it seems that the tranny fluid would have to be running up hill to leak at this point. Any ideas? Thanks...

Mike
