Hey, Fast Farmer...how'd the harvest go? (Quote from 65LA) The quote, copy, paste didn't work right. aargh.
Still on-going. The local grain elevators can't keep up with the volume of wet corn being delivered. When they get full, they close early for the day and work through the night drying grain to catch up. Twenty percent corn out of the field must be dried down to fifteen percent moisture so it won't spoil. If the weather will stay dry, I will switch to soybeans, and fill my own bins. Harvest will maybe be over by Thanksgiving.
