With a kick in the pants from Zoera I am providing an update to my car.
It's been a long but fun journey and it's almost done. I'm excited and let down at the same time.
John came to take it back to ERA this afternoon to put on the undercar exhaust and have Doug do his thing before I get it registered.
I still have to put the seats, tunnel, windshield and wipers on permanently when it comes back.
All I can say is I would not have been able to do it with the staff at ERA, especially Doug and all the contributors to my myriad of emails I have posted over the last 6 months. I thank you all.
I've managed to track down some rare parts such as the Sunburst wheels, leverall seat knobs, CSX 16" original steering wheel, original RER 31 rear reflectors, original decals for speedo, original
oil line hoses, NOS Lucas lenses and lights all around, etc.
I'm put a lot of detail into the car down to the nut and bolt level.
I have some other things to do which I call round 2. I'd like to replace the hood with an aluminum one, find or make the correct nudge bar in front with the license plate bracket, etc.
