Default Harmonic Balancer recommendation please!

Guys,
I'm finally coming down the final stages of the build. It's a 482" sideolier in a Ford service block, Scat crank, H beam rods, Diamond pistons, all the good stuff. Solid roller cam, KC stage II heads, Ported and port matched Performer RPM, Quick Fuel 950, MSD distributor with 6AL box, going into a Contemporary Cobra. I'm using a 1972 timing cover and pointer. What balancer do I want? I can get an original '63 427 unit, but the builder wants big bucks for it, and I''m not a stickler for originality. For an aftermarket unit he wants to use a Fluiddamper, but in the back of my mind I have a faint recollection of some negative comments about these. The engine won't be going over 6500 rpm. What balancer do you guys recommend to work with this engine, cover and pointer? By the way the pointer does not have degree marks on it, it's just a pointer. Thanks!
Doug
