Last rumor that I heard today is that Kyle Petty may go back and drive for the Wood Brothers. Kyle's best days are behind him but he keeps hanging on. But if the auto makers pull out of NASCAR the series will have to go back to near "grassroots" racing. Rick Hendricks is rich but he can't afford to field 4 cars without large infusions of cash. Maybe we'll see the days again when a winners purse of $50,000 will mean something to someone.
