Default radiator mounting

I'm in process of rebodying my car after a brush with a wall at RunNGun. A question I have is when I remount my radiator, why shouldn't I get a radiator with inlet/outlet in the upper passenger side/lower driver side. That's opposite from every LS427 I've seen. Sure seems like plumbing would be easier/cleaner. I'm running an FE w/o that fancy expansion tank.

My radiator currently sits vertically in the nose, but I will be mounting at a slant back closer to the engine. (I want a sway bar, and this should make that easier)
