I was a little impressed with her at first based on what I knew about her going after Ted Stevens. I also liked that she did not need a full time chef as Governor, and sold the plane. I appreciate that, for the most part, she is against some wasteful spending, but she was in favour of the bridge before she was against it.
I don't like her lack of travel. She will need some good people working for her to overcome her lack of experience in dealing with other countries.
I do like that she seems rather down-to-earth, and that she does not seem to be trying to push her religion (despite what the left wing loonies say).
A lot of it will depend on how well Obama does in the next 4 years. If he does well, then she should wait until 2016, and let the GOP rebuild properly. Running against a popular/semi-popular incumbent is a great way to associate yourself with defeat. It may be in her best interests to appoint herself Senator to replace Stevens and get some time on the national stage.
The problem the GOP is going to have is that things are such a mess now that Obama would have to be a complete idiot to manage to make things worse. The good news for the GOP is that if things do get worse then there will be nobody to blame except the DNC.
