You have not said what you are going to do with the car. Big differents between the 2 motors you are talking about. Are you going racing? Autocross, roadcourse, 1/4 mile?? What gearing for th rearend are you looking at? The superstreet Richmond would be my first choice or a G-Force T-56 with single or double overdrive. They should last you through 2 -3 motors and clutches. The richmond is a 5spd with 2.87 first and .87 OD It's good for real 600 HP and torque. Price about $3,200.00. There are trannys out there for $700-1,000.00 less but you get what you pay for.
