The funny part is yes, it is the same ankle. Mine is on the outside and hers is on the inside. This is her first surgery on it, she hurt it while exercising trying to loose weight. She somehow stretched the inner tendon out and it would not heal back up. They think she hurt it a long time ago and it was just severely agitated by the exercise and that is why it wouldn't heal, it is an old injury. I believe it as she refuses to go to see a doctor until the pain is no longer bearable and often is worse off because of it. Another reason they think it is old is the ankle had shifted positions and would not realign. They ended up removing the overstretched tendon, taking one from her big toe, replacing the one in the ankle, breaking/cutting the ankle joint, resetting it, and putting 2 screws to hold it. She says she can feel the 2 screws and that is where the pain is the most acute.

Thanks for the well wishes all. I told her that is what she gets for being upset that I was the center of attention when I was hurt. .
Of course I only said that because she can't get out of bed and whoop me.
