I bent the input yoke flange that the drive shaft attaches to. Long story, don't ask!
Anyway, the pinion is fine, I just bent the face flange a bit. I obtained another good input yoke (Thanks, Nick!), and I need to install it. It's easy to see that I remove the center nut, use a puller and pull off the old yoke. My question is, can I just install the new yoke and install the center nut and torque it? I have a vague recollection in my youth of rebuilding a GM 12 bolt rear and there was a crush sleeve that set bearing clearances of some sort. Do I run into that problem here or is it just a quick replacement? I sure would like to avoid this becoming a big involved job if possible. Thanks.
