On my SPF I kept the glovebox lock as-is but added a light tension spring on the inside from the door to the wall of the glovebox. Without the spring, I found that the unlocked door would flop open on a quick startup. The spring it enough to hold the unlocked door closed but I can still lock the door when I choose and didnt have to change the lock.
