i dont understand y people buy bits of an engine

there are heaps of jap importers around and people buy the cheapest option but dont get everything

problem is trying to source some bits that are hard to find can get expensive
i tell everyone pay bit more and get a complete set
then u know it should all work fine if everything is installed correctly

the only time i would only buy just the enigne and not all electricals is when u plan to go full aftermarket

now if rego is very strict then u need to run std ecu and everything else matching should be std and of same set cause even on a std ecu its hard to pass rego

if rego is not very strict then go full aftermarket
dont fuk round with chasing air flow meters and ****
if u plan to run bigger throttlebodies and crap then go aftermarket
but make sure the tuner knows how to tune the car to pass rego

anyway not many people in australia will have a maf for you

yr best bet is to find a salvage yard in the usa and buy one of them

what is the number on yr ecu
with that number you can find what model car its off
then find a place thats knows what they are talking bout
and see what they can do

asking in australia wont get u far
u need connections in usa

if u want i can chase one for u thru my connections in the usa
but i need all info u have and your ecu number and ioll come back with a price
