Just a general question, that I can probably answer myself in a couple months when I look at a new Genesis block again. Do they have date codes cast into them?? if they have the correct casting number do they have the correct or no date coding cast into them. There wouldn't have been any date stamp on a bare block since that is done on assembly. I think that a cast iron Genesis block would pretty hard to distinguish from an original in the car...unless it has a date code cast in that is current. The date stamp could be stamped by anyone when it's assembled because they aren't vey precise/uniform from the factory.
