Default Wipers Better Wipers than Lucas anyone? Hell Yeah!

I have been searching for a better, less expensive system than the "Lucas" brand and types used on Cobras and other roadsters. I have a "West Coast" Cobra which I'm building and I got VW wipers with the kit. (I think I can hear your reaction as I type this) Well, the parts did not have the necessary sweep angle which would leave the wipe area well to the right of the driver. You'd have to lean over to the center of the car and peer through. Apparently, the idea was to just HAVE wipers for inspection purposes. Too bad they won't actually work. For what I'm spending on this car that simply won't do.

Results !. I talked to the reps from AM Equipment. http://www.amequipment.com/

A quote from Butch Helland [Butch@amequipment.com]

"A motor assembly will cost you $152.06. You will need a second pivot shaft, this will cost about $33.00. You will need a link, about $18.00, and some small hardware. Standard sweep angles would be 101-104 and 112-118 degrees. You will also need a double link drive arm, under $10.00 and some spacers to mount the motor to allow clearance for the drive arm. You are pushing the $200 dollar mark and still do not have arms and blades."

They even have an attachment which gives you adjustable sweep!
Download the catalog PDF file.
I'll post photos when I get them mounted to the body if anyone is interested.
