Do not get involved in any convoluted overseas transactions. You will lose. You have to be careful even with cashiers checks. I bought a used cobra 5 years ago from a gent in N Carolina who had "sold" his car to someone who had sent a cashiers check for an amount greater than the purchase price. He wanted to pick up the car + $10,000 in cash. The seller took the check to a bank and the bank confirmed it was a counterfit check. You need to be sure you know who you are selling to - obtain references - and if possible do a "cash" sale, right at your bank. Good luck and merry Christmas.
