Painting completed and I'm rapt!
I always wanted candy apple red but when I saw this colour from Standox I was smitten. Its an Exclusive Line colour called Red Rocket. It's a water based paint.
It is a lustrous red but changes colour subtly in different lights with orangy/bronze highlights where the light catches (forgive the non-technical terms). Both photos below were taken with the same camera one in bright sunlight and one under cloud. My gallery has shots inside the workshop with the same camera which look totally different again.
The stripes are titanium silver which has the same grain as the red. They don't seem to photograph too well.
Now on to the interior and the many things I wasn't happy about first time round....
