The guidelines change every year. Who knows what might happen next year. The SB WILL disappear, it's just a matter of when! Tom
I went to the Santa Clara DMV last year, and getting there at 10 pm, or 3 am or even 5 am wouldn't have given you any extra advantage in securing an SB100 cert (just more time to think about how much coffee you drank and how long you'll have to wait to hit the head ).

I think I got there around 6:00 am and the DMV didn't open up until 9:00 am that particular day. If you go to the right office and they work with all of the SB 100 applicants as a group, you shouldn't have any problems at all. As others have mentioned, the soft econonmy might ease the demand this year.
