How many of the large Cobra air cleaners that I have installed all "spin" under load knicking up the paint on the inside of the hood intake?
Well, not any more! I think cpteddie will even be surprised by this one.
Phase one: Holley mounted carb, remove the bolts and the studs holding them on, use a 5/16's threaded rod, locktite the rod and the new "flange nuts" in place:
Phase Two: 3/8's aluminum tubing (fueline) cut to fit the studs- Must look pretty when done
.
Phase three: Studs covered, base plate attached with "flange nuts".
Phase Four: The end of the headache of the Spinning Air Cleaner- you can take both hands and try and get it to swing- "Ain't gonna happen!" $5.00 in material-one hour of time- piece of cake!
A long time problem cured- cheap and easy!
