My cheap floor jack from Sears that's about 30 years old is/was working just fine with my '66 Corvette (that I no longer own). The more expensive jacks at Harbor Freight are either the rapid pump or have increased lifting capacity (4,000 lbs versus 3,000 lbs). My Kirkham is less than 2,150 lbs and I'll only be lifting 1/2 the car at a time.

Do you have any suggestions?
