M-5, Some basic things to consider, and do prior to purchase of your driveline componants.
Do I want an engine/trans. combo to eliminate any match-up part issues?
Discuss the warranty procedures with the builder prior to purchase (how things will be handle..if a problems occurs) and get it in writing.
How far is the builder away from where you live.....if the car/ motor can be trailered or towed to their shop, it may be an advantage.
Most importantly, how good are they to deal with, regarding service, attitude and advice, product selection, warranty, and Price.
There many good builders out there, and this forum is an excellent place to find advice, but remember, folks just love the one they used and don't always know much about the others, so do your research.
